Forgive the other person that you think caused the harm- You can do it silently to yourself (in a “religious sense” or a non-religious way). Morter, Jr., BS, DC came up with the following Six Steps of Forgiveness and now that he has passed away, I would love to share them with the world, beginning with you today dear reader:ġ. Does that make sense? Deal with it today and it goes into your memory detached or go to bed angry or upset and wake up with it running the show in Fight or Fight stress-mode (and adding on top of previously recorded similar stress scenarios in a common folder)! That is what Scripture means by not letting the sun go down on your wrath (or worry, or disappointment, or doubt). That is an accurate description of what I am teaching you here. Yes, my patients have called what I do, “Forgiving my memories”.

If you’re amped up, it will be easy to forget…then it gets recorded (with adrenaline and negative emotions) into your RAM (like hitting the SAVE button on your PC) and then it will take professional care and more advanced work to make peace and forgive that memory. Have someone cup your head while you go through the following “Forgiveness Steps” quietly to yourself before you retire. So if it was a bad experience, you will want to “neutralize it” and make peace with what happened and how you reacted before you sleep that night. And it can be good, bad or neutral yet it was recorded into the mind and it will be stored permanently on your brain’s hard drive tonight when you sleep (healing takes place mostly at night while you are sleeping).

Good book, well worth my time and purchase but just not as good as the first. So, back to memories…if something happened a second ago, it’s a memory. Not really, I was hoping this would have been a stronger follow up to "The Way of the Peaceful Warrior" which was excellent, moving, authentic, and yes I did get lost in the book and even believing therein for extended periods. In his first book, I felt that he brought the story to life but in this one I felt his disclaimer upfront hurt the authentic feeling from the onset.ĭo you think Sacred Journey of the Peaceful Warrior needs a follow-up book? Why or why not? Sometimes authors are good writers but their vocal skills are lacking, Dan is good at both and I enjoyed his voice, inflection, tone, etc.

What three words best describe Dan Millman’s voice? I highly recommend that authors leave this determination up to the readers NOT start out by apologizing? Part of the enjoyment for me was the blurring of reality and fiction, to start out and say this is all a work of fiction and by the way so was my other book was very disheartening. I was actually kind of pissed off when Dan essentially discredited this story and the one before in the prologue. How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable? Yes, it is a great story on a variety of levels.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not? Not as good as Way of the Peaceful Warrior In this compelling tale, the author breathes new life into ancient wisdom and reminds us that all our journeys are sacred, and all our lives an adventure. She is the gateway to all his hopes and fears - and the only one who can prepare him for what may follow.ĭeep in a rain forest on the island of Molokai, Dan encounters mortal challenges, vivid characters, and startling revelations as he ascends the peaceful warrior's path toward the light that shines at the heart of creation. Struggling with personal failure and growing disillusion, Dan sets out on a worldwide quest to rediscover the sense of clarity, meaning, and purpose he found with Socrates. Then, a long-forgotten memory drives Dan to seek a mysterious woman shaman in Hawaii. This is the second book in the Peaceful Warrior Saga. Neither a sequel nor prequel, this adventure takes place within the context of the original book, shedding new light on the path he was to travel, and would one day teach.Īfter a period of training with the man he calls Socrates, Dan Millman is sent away by his old mentor to apply what he has learned to everyday life.
